MAP’s compliance with GIPS is also independently confirmed by an independent third party verifier. The primary purpose of verification is to confirm that MAP has complied with the GIPS standards. Verification tests are performed to determine whether MAP has complied with the GIPS standards for the construction of composite portfolios on a firm-wide basis, and whether MAP’s internal processes and procedures are designed to calculate and present performance results in conformance with GIPS standards.
